The original idea came from a book called Henri and the Alien. We’ve had interest to make an Alice and Wonderland style film of it. Now, it is being launched at MIPCOM 2011.

The Freemasons was set up as a Royal enclave based on the Oddfellows. That kind of thing was quite popular in C18th along with the Druids and Hell Fire Club. The pseudo religious affections of the Freemasons are to give it greater depth.
In the context of the 7 years war that killed 1/3 of Catholic / Protestants Europe’s population it is not surprising secret societies were under suspicion and had eager memberships. It was the age of women entertaining the wives of potential business clients for their husbands.

I am far more interested in the origins of the Lugh or Sun god cult that gave rise in its present form – Christianity. It is intriguing how much more intelligent hunter gatherers were than their descendants.
